The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. My companion even mentioned that we will definitely be returning.
I visited this restaurant for the first time since it opened. I went for Sunday lunch and made a reservation, which was a good idea as the restaurant was very busy. We had to wait for our table, so we enjoyed a drink for about 10 minutes. I ordered the beef, which was good overall. Some slices were delicious and melted in my mouth, but one slice was chewy. The roast potatoes tasted like they had been reheated, and the mashed potatoes were a bit bland - I don't really enjoy it with Sunday lunch anyway. The vegetables were crunchy and fresh, almost raw. The gravy was nice and the Yorkshire pudding was good too. The service could have been better as they didn't answer some of my questions and were generally slow. The food took over 40 minutes to come out, but we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a big issue. For dessert, we had a white chocolate parfait and sticky toffee pudding with custard, which were both good. The overall cost was a bit pricey and I was slightly underwhelmed. I might give the daily specials a try next time.

Had 2 great Sunday lunch takeaways from the Owl and Otter yesterday. The steak and ale pie was very generous and tasty, the pastry was crisp. Well done chefs.
