Vanbrocklin's Bistro - Burnet
Vanbrocklin's Bistro
Description
Tucked in Burnet, this casual, scenic spot is a beloved local hangout offering generous portions, strong cocktails and live weekend music. Friendly service and favorites like street tacos, ginger‑sesame salmon and a notable Mexican martini earn praise, yet the kitchen is inconsistent—cold or soggy sides, dry proteins and uneven sauces recur, and managerial follow‑through can be lacking. Not fine dining but good value, it’s ideal for relaxed nights out, though diners should brace for variable food quality.

Lots of fun had a perfectly cooked steak Med Rare with grilled veggies at an awesome price! Friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere!
Had high hopes after reading the reviews but everything was dry and tasted like it had been in the freezer too long. Calamari had a nice sauce but the pieces looked like they had freezer burn, Guinness was good! Slightly dry martini was a glass of olive brine with a little vodka, salmon was just ok and the ribs were dry. Service was great and employees friendly
Great dinner this evening. The food was excellent and service was very friendly. The live music was a bit loud but enjoyable (remember, this is in the lounge). Definitely recommend.
