Tsujiri - Burnaby
Tsujiri
Menu
The restaurant from Burnaby offers 12 different dishes and drinks on the menu at an average price of CA$8.
The restaurant offers a tempting array of drinks and treats, with standout items like the Yuzu Citron Float garnering praise for its refreshing flavor. However, many patrons express dissatisfaction with the overpriced menu and inconsistent portion sizes, particularly highlighting the shiratama's overly sweet and sticky presentation. Service issues plague the experience, as long wait times and a lack of communication from staff detract from the enjoyment. While the dedication of the employees shines through, management must address staffing challenges to enhance guest experience and prevent potential customers from walking away.

I absolutely adore the Yuzu Citron Float! You can choose between Hojicha or Matcha for the ice cream topping, while the bottom half features a refreshing yuzu ice slushy—perfect for a hot day! It can be a bit on the pricier side, but we definitely felt it was worth it for this delicious treat! View all feedback.
What Jessica Betschart dislikes about Tsujiri:
Paid $9+ including tips for this little amount of matcha frappe that is even lesser than Starbuck’s tall size but for such an expensive price ! The girl who made it didn’t even fill the drink up to the edge and she had had so many left in blender. Will not be returning back! View all feedback.

The drinks and treats here are absolutely delicious. However, I'm giving a low rating to highlight the serious staffing issues. There are often long lines, with only one person taking orders and preparing drinks. The staff are incredibly hard workers, but the owner and management need to recognize that they are losing business; I've seen customers turn around and leave rather than wait. It's unacceptable for people to wait 20-25 minutes for their drinks, especially on weekends.
Never get the shiratama. It was not edible the way it was served and leaves hands sticky and it's way too sweet and makes you SICK ? strange it was like the worker didn't want the customer to know a flavour is supposed to be chosen too. Also why does it ask you to leave a tip for already overpriced items which can only be take

Regarding the service, I don't know if the employee was just shy, but she didn't utter a single word during the entire interaction. I found it rather odd. To top it off, she seemed to rush me even though there was only one person behind me who had just arrived. She immediately turned the payment machine towards me without even asking if I wanted anything else. Perhaps other menu items are better, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering what I did unless you want to throw away your money. Don't expect any kind of positive service either.
