Highly recommend the soup dumplings, which are freshly made right in front of you. As for the fried beef rolls, they were moreso soggy than crispy, which it made it harder to chew through. Will not be ordering those next time.I went during the lunch rush, and it was very busy. What Joseph Griffin doesn't like about Shanghai Dimsum House:
The stall and the food court get crazy busy during rush hour. Both steamed and pan fried pork buns were large in size, had thick skin, and were filled with a surprising amount of broth. The pork filling itself was ok, but some of the pan fried buns were borderline burnt. View all feedback.
Nothing much to say it’s in the food court so the service won’t be as good as the restaurant itself….hard to find a table it’s in the crystal mallThe steam bum I ordered I would say very fresh they cook it per order since I waited maybe 10-15 mins but the soup they could use more vermicelliThis combo I paid $11.50
? Pan-Fried Pork Bun: It offers an authentic taste of Shanghai. Priced at CAD $8.25 for a portion of 5 pieces, these buns are worth every penny. The bun itself is excellent, with a soft and slightly crispy texture that adds to the overall enjoyment.? Important Note: It's essential to be mindful when biting into the pan-fried pork bun. The generous amount of pork juice inside the bun can be quite hot, so be cautious not to accidentally spit it onto others or burn your throat. Waiting Time: It's worth mentioning that preparing the pan-fried pork bun takes time. As they cook it in batches, the process may require some patience. In my case, placing the order at 14:53 and receiving it at 15:24 indicates a waiting time of approximately 30 minutes.
The pan fried pork buns and steamed soup dumplings are all made by hand, the traditional way. It's perfect in every way. Service could be nicer and more patient.
The pan fried bao was amazing! Everything was made in house so we had to wait for a while to get our food but overall it’s amazing and worth the price!

I recommend that you go during non-peak hours, but it was still definitely worth the wait.Cash only!
