Looking for a quick lunch and stumbled on this place. They have a new menu with specials until 3. I got the basic burger which had lots of fixings including cheese and salad instead of fries. The burger was cooked perfect and tasted great. The salad had lots of variety including strawberries and broccoli. If you are In the area check it out. What Cody F doesn't like about Oliver Twist Pub Grill:
Food itself was good had a spicy BBQ burger. But went to watch the UFC event and TV's kept messing up. Also found the wait staff didn't come around to refill drinks or take orders very often. I have made approximately 25 orders in the last few years. I have to say, I am so disappointed that I am no longer going to be ordering from here again. The last year has shown a huge dive in quality of food. When we first tried Oliver's food, it felt healthy. Plenty of olive oil, fried foods weren't filled with oil, the food was fresh and the portions were decent. Twice I have complained that the oil used was burnt/old and tasted of fish. A restaurant should never get to the point that the oil gets that dark. You know what happens when it does. They have put a lot of their items on sale right now. I thought this was a good tactic for them than a bunch of BOGO items. However, when I received my food tonight, I couldn't believe how horrid it all was! The pasta was severely undercooked and striped of its starch, so had no way of expanding on a second boil. It also couldn't absorb the sauce either. I am also wondering if a microwave was used on the noodles, which actually changes pasta to rubber and extremely chewy. To top it off, there was next to zero sauce! A simple white sauce is too expensive now??? Ummm... and where is the bread? The croquettes were 2/3rd the size they were a year ago and just today, only 3 medallions cut in half equalled $11!!! The spring rolls are even thinner. And only 7 of these things that are now mostly the actual wrap... never thought I'd ever see that anywhere. No veggies mean that it is just wrap inside saturated with oil. Gross! The fried gyoza's are so tiny. They are starting to resemble chips because there is so little filling. Not even worth it as a BOGO item. Enough! There is way too many other places to order from that value my business. Sorry guys! You used to have 5 stars from me and bragged about you. Now I feel like a dolt.
