Decided to visit this place on a cold dark rainy day. To my surprise, the food is actually pretty good. I ordered the combo braised pork with rice that come with seaweed soup and cucumber pickled. My friend ordered the schezuan chicken that come with rice. I also love the ambiance and the drawing on the wall. Next time I will try the jian bing for sure. View all feedback.
What Fanny Yuen doesn't like about Old Street:
First time trying the restaurant. The online menu is very different from the restaurant menu. The restaurant menu has less items and prices are a lot higher so be aware. We ended up having the beef noodle and Szechuan chili oil wontons. Nothing special and the beef noodle portion size really didn’t justify the $15 price tag. I also hate eating in disposable containers at a restaurant. Service: Dine in View all feedback.

Love the deep fried milk and deep fried fresh corn pie. The food is simple and delicious!
Old Street has been a Taiwanese restaurant that Grayson and I have been wanted to try to for a while now. Old Street opened a few months ago across from Metrotown and they also have a location in Lansdowne mall. What differentiates Old Street from all the other Taiwanese restaurants in the area is that they focus on traditional Taiwanese noodle and rice dishes as well as street food items. I like how their menu offers a variety of traditional Taiwanese snacks because having lived there for a year, I missed having some of those things because you can't find much of it at other Taiwanese restaurants. A unique feature they have here is the Chinese Crepe. It's made with a base of flour or bean flour. An egg is then cracked on top and you can choose from a variety of fillings to add in as well. It is then folded into a signature square shape before being eaten. We ordered two dishes. The fried chicken leg with rice came with a plastic glove to eat the chicken leg with which was very interesting. The chicken was deep fried in a way that Grayson never had before because they pretty much dropped it right in the fryer to cook. The skin was golden brown and crispy which helped maintain all the juices on the inside.
Fantastic food!!!I forgot to take a picture of the fried bun bit definitely recommend it!It tasted just like what you’ll get in TaiwanLove it!超好吃的 紅油炒手的辣油超香~炸饅頭也好好吃喔
I order the food from here through FOODORA, order 3 dishes and one of them was frozen. Like ice-freeze. When it came, it was cold and when I lifted the meat i could see the ice. Are you kidding me? If I wanted to taste the frozen food, I'll be ordering from superstore not from restaurant.
