I have been looking forward to trying this restaurant since I don't visit Coquitlam often.

The service at this restaurant was slow, but the food was decent. However, nothing really stood out to me that would make me want to go back. It is a newer restaurant that definitely needs to work on improving the taste of their dishes. The prices were average for the portion sizes offered.

This cafe is hidden in the corner of the shopping complex which most people would overlook. It's underneath the stairs that you can walk up to the upper floor. Food: There is a decent selection of different dishes but one of my favourite the pork bone soup was not on there. The spicy sauce is different from what I have tasted before and I love it. The rice cake and chicken is got some kick to it which I loved. The seafood pancake was generously made with lots of ingredients, not cheaped out though a little bland for my liking.Dessert: I have tried a few and I must say they are all super yummy. Midam has bigger portion and has different presentation than its competitor which I loved. It gets boring when everyone just does their dessert in the same manner. If you are a dessert person I would strongly recommend you visit this cafe instead of Cumpari just blocks down the road.Ambience: Love it love it love it. It's one of the few restaurants not invaded by the Chinese (I am Chinese myself so i am not being racist ;) and actually have lots of Korean customer so you could definitely feel that you are in a Korean restaurant. Do note that the place can get really loud as people are all having a good time and lots of beers consumed.Service: Some tables are equipped with a buzzer to alert the waiter/waitress so that's a plus but for those that aren't equipped with a buzzer it's hard to get service during dinner time because store is running with just few staff and it does take a good while before our food was on our table. The attitude of the staff were friendly though. *** To my fellow men - there are eye candies ***

I must commend them on their exceptional customer service! When we ordered the cheese fondue with chicken, we asked for it to be mildly spicy.

Been meaning to try this place. Finally found a reason to try them out and was I glad I did! Pleasantly surprised with the wide array of food options. Was just there for dessert and took us a while to decide. Loved their spin on banana split with green tea ice cream - superb! Also tried their churros rice cake - heaven! Bit disappointed with the Korean coffee - not enough oomph. Owners appear to be huge Michael Jordan fans. Will definitely be back.
