This is my newly discovered bakery. So far I love their European sweet goodies. Their macarons are tasty and the chocolate truffle cake was very delicious and smooth. I can't wait to try the othet goodies this store has to offer. View all feedback.
What Andy Jäger doesn't like about Manzano Europa Bakery Inc.:
Tried a Blueberry Muffin and an Almond Croissant. The muffin was nice, cakey and not as dense as other muffins. The Almond Croissant was disappointing though. It was small and had very little almonds/almond paste in or on it and tasted almost like a plain croissant. They had lots of fresh breads that looked good though, so may come back to try one of those. View all feedback.
The strawberry croissant was pretty tasty and flakey. Nice filling inside. Lemon torte was good too. Nice to eat with your coffee or tea. I would like to try other things. Lots of variety and things to see. Kind of a hidden bakery, it's mysterious but playful dishes surprised me.
Good selection but too sweet for European desserts (some are more Asian rather than European anyway). Sandwiches are tasty but I noticed ingredients like potato that are probably fillers. Service is lovely though.
I've gone to Manzano since i was a toddler when it quickly became a family favourite. the staff there are very friendly and welcoming, don't pressure you to order before you're ready, and always get your food ready quickly. the breads are superb, and there are so many good foods it's hard to choose! my all-time favourites are the fruit torte and salmon sandwich (i forgot the exact name of the latter, sorry . i highly recommend this bakery for anyone looking for a nice snack while shopping around metrotown who wants to skip the food court lines and chaos. the only criticism i can make is that the seating is fairly minimal. there's lots of seating just outside metrotown, so if you're willing to walk a few minutes, that isn't much of an issue. altogether, i give Manzano five stars for their excellent service and food! great work guys! i'll see you again soon :
