Maison Mori - Burnaby

The baked goods and cakes were absolutely delicious. They went above and beyond to accommodate me when I had to pick up the cake a little after their closing time.

The sweet potato cubes in the dish were delightful! The broth was light and fluffy, featuring a generous amount of sweet potatoes that provided a substantial yet not overly heavy experience. The potatoes were soft and sweet, and when combined with the bread, it created an amazing texture that reminded me of mochi. However, I did find that only the walnut and mochi parts stood out as being really good.

The roll cake is amazing! Everything else is just okay, but I find myself returning almost every week.

There was no great choice when I left, but that's okay because the milk cream bun and honey toast delish were.

I had the red bean butter, sweet potato goguma bread, cream milk bun, mugwort mochi bun, walnut mocha bread. My advise is go early as they may run out of a specific type of bread. My least favourite was the mugwort mochi bun. My favourite one was the red bean butter and the walnut mocha bread. I find the bread here more unique. It's something you would only find in Korea from the ingredients. I also like that their breads and fillings aren't too sweet. The lady who helped out front was also very helpful when choosing the buns.Tip: try the red bean butter bread and the walnut mocha bread. Remember to choose 6 so that there's no tax!
