Had a really good meal here for dine out Vancouver. Granted I’m sure the menu isn’t their standard one at this time but the food tasted great. Service was really fast as they wanted to turn the tables over for the next group. The views are great from here. The duck and steak we had were well prepared View all feedback.
What Simon H doesn't like about Horizons Restaurant:
First up, there is no vegan option on the menu... Not even a salad. If you go for lunch then they take away the wine glasses and pile them on neighboring tables which doesn't look pretty... See 4 tables close by. One of our meals arrived cold and although they didn't charge us, they made it again and thus caused a huge delay. Some meals are huge and others are much smaller. It 's a good restaurant with a great view, but suffers the same problems as a lot of restaurants with a great view: the food isn 't phenomenal, you 're paying for the view. It 's not bad, but could use with a major update, something more new and modern rather than the somewhat '90s menu they currently have. But the view is amazing, both day and night, and the wine and cocktail list is great!
Nice restaurant with a view at burnaby mountain on the way to SFU. With most restaurants with a view, the price of the view is built into their menu pricing. So for the best experience, make a reservation and ask for a table by the window! I found the lamb chop appetizer quite tasty but the steaks my partner and I ordered (rib eye and NY striploin) were subpar. Service was quite good, water was constantly topped up.
It locates at the top of Burnaby Mountain with breathtaking scenery and a rose garden. The service is good and attentive, the food is OK but the price for the quality of food is high. We don't even want to eat dessert as it is $10 for a piece of cake!
The best Calamari in town! Beautiful view and hangout even if you're not going to dine at Horizons. Beware if you are going for dinner in heels theres a bit of an uphill walk from the parking lot or get dropped off at the front. But if you want to enjoy the view you'll want some walking shoes or even wedge heels.
