Hanwoori had good food, very nice. Not too expensive for a BBQ, but mind that the atmosphere is quite loud. Servers are very friendly. Would visit again! Parking: Arriving a little early (5 45 ish and leaving at 7 15) makes a lot of parking. If you arrive at 6 30- 7, you'll just be able to beat the parking rush. What Yasmin Hesami doesn't like about Hanwoori Korean:
We were there for a birthday celebration with a group of 7. We divided the group by two because half of us don’t eat meat and only eat chicken. When we asked if we can have extra sauce on our food our server Hana said it’s IMPOSSIBLE and again we asked how about having some extra sauce on the side and she again said it’s impossible. When we were paying for our food we said can we divide our bill into three again she... View all feedback.
Came to Hanwoori with my brother because I was craving kbbq. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted to cook for ourselves or if we wanted it cooked for us. I answered cook for ourselves, but throughout our meal, the waitress still came by to fill our grill plate with meat. I mean, it can be seen as a kind gesture, but I felt rushed. That or they were judging the way we slowly filled our grill, idk. I would've wanted to enjoy our meal as I don't see my brother often. I had to double check their closing time to make sure we weren't intruding on their closing time. I'm also pregnant and wanted to make sure my meat was well cooked. I know it's kinda blasphemous to say for cooking beef, but it is what it is lol. The waitress coming in and just putting raw meat with the already cooked meats on the grill made it unsafe for me to consume the food. I had to wait for everything to be cooked again before I could take food from the grill. That also results in overcooking meat The waitstaff didn't seem too happy when the grill plates get stained with burnt marks. Lastly, by 9pm, the staff were cleaning and hovering near our table so we didn't feel comfortable enough to stay any longer as we were the tail end of the dinner rush. Food was good, but I didn't have time to enjoy it. Hope they enjoyed getting out of work early on a weekend night though. Fantastic Korean spot with great Tuukbaeggi Bulgoggi! All juiced up with veggies, rice cakes and even an egg. Tremendous side dishes too. I will return to try the BBQ! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Beef
It’s everything you’d expect from a Korean bbq place, which means delicious meat sets. Unfortunately, their kimchi isn’t the best and was starting to spoil and sour a bit. I thought their stone rice bowls were also not great in terms of meat amount. Those two reasons are why the two stars are docked off. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40
