Hidden gem. I was introduced to this place by a friend and we order the meal for 2 option B). It's definitely worth the try . Not the typical Korean restaurant food option. It's very authentic and service was good. View all feedback.
What Eatmunchlove doesn't like about Hanok Korean:
There are so many Korean restaurants in this area that it's impossible to decide which one to go to and even when I decide, it's usually somewhere I've been before because I can't get over how good the place was. Today was the day that we decided to try somewhere new. Unfortunately it wasn't the best choice because it wasn't the best Korean I've ever tried. Hanok was our venue for dinner one evening last week it was a first time visit to this restaurant for us. We arrived at 5:30 pm, received a welcome greeting upon entering, shown to a booth, and provided with menus. Our server was back to our table with a large pot of hot tea, cups, and table settings soon after we settled in, and then provided us with just the right amount of time to check out their rather extensive menu. Her service was cordial, and very helpful as well, when it came time to make our final food decisions (re: 'what ', 'how much ', etc. . We (couple ordered and shared the following dishes: stir fry pork (Jeyuk bokkeum , and stir fry squid (Ojingeo bokkeum . main dishes came with bowls of steamed rice, and soup. side dishes bean sprouts salad, greens salad, potato, and kimchi. The main dishes were good sized, the ingredients squid, pork, and veggies (slivers of cabbage, with some carrot, sliced mushroom, and etc. moist, very tender, and flavourful, and the sauces savoury (quite spicy hot, especially the sauce in the squid dish . The side dishes of rice and soup, and banchan were great especially the colourful, crisp, and cool salads, steamed rice, 'the ' best tasted in a long while, tasty potato, and the light, flavourful soup. We enjoyed our dinner and dining experience at Hanok for us, it was a good value meal, served up in a friendly, and pleasant setting.
I was here with my sister earlier for a lunch and this curiousity led us to dine at Hanok. I actually wanted Naengmyun at Kimbab Cheonguk, but I also thought they might have Naengmyun here too. We changed our mind to have Naengmyun for lunch instead. I wasn't sure why there's only 10 reviews, but turns out Hanok is not on good location. Makguksoo $15.99 platter of cold noodles, was HUGE. This noodle dish can feed 2-3 people I think. One blog said this customer ended up taking left over home because she ordered too much. Makguksoo had full of flavours with assorted veggies. This dish might be too spicy, if you can't handle spicy food. It was refreshing at the same time, and pineapple pieces enhanced sweetness of the noodles. There was no side dishes other than pickles. Pickles were quite tasty too, however it would be too salty to eat with noodles. Service was okay. Their food was memorable though.
The place was really hard to find. The signs where in big korean letters with the tiny english at the very bottom.food menu had changed and they only have a limited offer left.
My friend and I shared a hot plate (beef bulgogi). We overcooked the beef unfortunately, but we found that the corn and the egg sides were delicious. Server was attentive as much as he could be because it seemed he was the only server. Still met our needs and very polite! We want to go back and try their homemade tofu next.

Today was the day that we decided to try somewhere new. Unfortunately it wasn't the best choice because it wasn't the best Korean I've ever tried. We found the soups to be not very developed in flavor and while the portions were decent, the dishes were mediocre. The up-side was that the service was very attentive and everyone was friendly.
