Contribute FeedbackFortune House Seafood Restaurant, located in Metrotown, boasts a large seating capacity and a bustling atmosphere. While some patrons found the dim sum offerings to be average and the service lacking, others appreciated the generous portion sizes and tasty dishes. The restaurant's traditional Chinese menu, including standout items such as braised Halibut Hotpot and sticky rice, received high praise. While service and value received mixed reviews, overall, Fortune House is a solid choice for dim sum and Asian cuisine in the area. Be prepared for crowds during peak times, but don't miss out on the unique mango pudding shaped like a koi fish.

This is one of the Chinese seafood restaurants we visited every Friday as we lived close to it. The dishes are tasty and the size are enough for 8 people. Of courses, the price is a little bit higher than other vicinity restaurants. The service is good. We recommend.
So many of my friends have bragged about the Fortune House Seafood Restaurant that I finally relented and went there for dim sum. The restaurant is huge, I overheard that it seats 300 persons. The dim sum items were not as tasty and fancy as I've had in other Chinese tea houses. Service was minimal and I had to wait to satisfy my bill.
Snappy curt attitude from female server when we arrived. Would not listen to us or other server when we told her the number of guests in our group. Male server was apologetic.Brought dinner entree's before our soup, major faux pas. Dishes were flavorful, portion size smaller than average. Been there for special family occasions and was always good, but never had to pay the bill. There are better choices for Chinese cuisine in Lower Mainland. Can only give average rating.
The record on the wait of our order was successfully beaten in this restaurant! I'll tell you, we've never waited! But not without interest, swallowed saliva, watched the rest of the gambling visitors swallow their unusual giant dishes... They were really excited about them, stunning down the lambs on the table... Even the vegetable salad in front of the main hot meals, we're not getting... And the sea cucumber must have gone... I don't think we'll ever be able to visit this restaurant again, and we won't recommend it, because there's so many Chinese kitchen facilities and better service!
