This was the oddest menu I have seen, with weird combinations and a lackluster wine selection. For example - steak and sushi? Not a combo i would enjoy. There were few BC wines for offer. The appetizer menu is all for sharing, with big amounts of food. I was the only one who wanted an appy, and everything seemed too big for one person, so I skipped the appy. The server was very busy, but was cheerful and helpful.

My wife and I were visiting a friend in Burnaby, we ended up eating at Earl's twice. The first time we all had salads. My grilled Chicken Caesar was very good. We sat inside it was comfortable. A little loud but we could still talk. The next day our friend had a meeting so my wife and I walked back to Earl's. We sat outside and really enjoyed it. The weather was good, it is on a busy street but that did not bother us at all. I asked our server how the ribs were. The answer was they are to die for! So of course I had to try them. They were excellent, fall of the bone with a nice barbeque taste. On both visits we enjoyed the wait staff. They were attentive and very friendly. If the weather is nice I'd recommend sitting outside!!

Went there for dinner on week night and all the tables at the patio were taken. The hostess took me inside, which was just half full. Business not very good. The service was fast and the food was ok. Nothing exceptional but not bad either. I think it's a good family friendly restaurant if are live or work in Burnaby. I won't make a trip to Burnaby to have dinner there though.

Both services and eat very well!

I brought my elderly companion with me, but it was too noisy for us to have a proper conversation.
