Denny's Of Canada - Burnaby

We were visiting Vancouver and staying nearby, so we came here four mornings in a row for breakfast. It was just what you would expect from Denny's. Good, hot, not-fancy food. Served very quickly. Generous portions. Reasonable prices - especially for seniors. Very congenial wait staff. All good.

As usual I will review this on Atmosphere, service and food.Atmosphere - This Denny's was the usual Denny's decor but was very well kept and CLEAN!Service - We were greeted right away and promptly seated by the hostess. Our waitress Daisy greeted us and had such a nice genuine friendly personality. She took our orders and the food arrived quickly. Daisy made sure during our breakfast that we had everything that we needed. We also noticed that all of the staff was very focused, friendly and worked well together.Food - Our breakfast was prepared nicely and we both commented on how nice it was to finally have a good breakfast out.We will be back and a special THANK YOU to Daisy.

First, the place itself. modernized to a point where it doesn't look like any other Denny's I've been to in the nation (and I travel a lot).Service: we were fortunate enough to be seated in Nancy's section! An amazing lady who truly provided 10-star service! Thanks Nancy!!Food: Noticed new things on the menu in the form of skillets. Perhaps they have offered these for a while, but I never noticed. From the photos, they look tantalizing. Normally the real offering doesn't live up to the advertising, but my dinner companion ordered one with chicken, an assortment of veggies and red-skinned potatoes and jalapeño peppers. She loved it! And it looked great too!I had a double cheeseburger made from hand-pressed beef, swiss and cheddar cheeses along with typical garnishing. Fries on the side for $14.99.The skillet had the option of adding two eggs (cooked as you like.) The "spicy skillet" priced out at $15.79 including the eggs and it was a very generous portion.Coffee is tasty without bitterness.Okay, I know how I sound. excited about a Denny's? Well, this experience deserves the praise and Nancy deserves the accolades.I'll be going back there. I want to try their double-breast chicken skillet. Went here for breakfast. Man the food was greasy, the toast the eggs the sausage was awful. Been about ten years since we've been at Denny's. Think this might be off our list now.

I had the salted caramel pancakes mmmm. They had shortbread crumbled on as well. Delicious! The holiday breakfast menu was a nice touch. It was so busy and the line to get in was very long after we arrived. I cant wait to go back and try the cinnamon roll pancakes
