This is an authentic chinese restaurant. The food quality is above average. The price is very reasonable considering the food portions. The food is really good. We tried the halibut and the beef vegetable dishes and they were fantastic. We will go back soon. View all feedback.
What Akuyek doesn't like about Deer Lake Wonton House:
A very old establishment, came her after being absent for more than 10 years. Same old venue, worn out in the eating space, bathroom and I suppose the kitchen too. Food is okay, portion large and that's about it. Make sure to come within time for the lunch combo, I came 10 minutes before the end and they ran out of the complimentary soup. View all feedback.
After a nice time with the family walking around the Burnaby Village Museum , every one feel little hungry , the Dear Lake Wonton House so close by , only few mins driver , Finally I notice they change new owner few months ago , the old owner had the restaurant well over 20 years , it is hole in the wall America Chop Suey place and the new owner did a nice job on the renovation lot clearer and airy , parking still limited , menu is average Chinese dishes , no set menu , price very reasonable and good portion size , my grandson love the Wonton Soup , not mush of MSG , surprised the stir fly cooking techniques 100% like Hong Kong style very tasty and a lot of WOK flavour , not oily at all , over all good place for Chow Mein ! we are full and happy !

Stopped here tonight for a meal as staying in a b and b nearby. Really enjoyed a very hearty meal, set menus excellent value and any individual dish easily big enough to share with another. Complimentary tea and excellent service with a nice atmosphere and locals popping in for their tea. No frills but a very good experience.
There are not many quick restaurants near Deer Lake or The Shadbolte Arts Centre. I eat here only in a pinch. It's easy to find for out of towners and reasonable but very bland Canadian Chinese food. I find the wonton soup is about the best on the menu. There are mixed dinners for one person or more.
Looking for a late meal after a days work and a fitness class. While on Canada Way saw the sign so we went in and ordered.Chose a tomato beef on rice daily special and was rewarded with a huge helping.Son ordered a chicken chowmein dish which he didnt finish as it was very big.Packed the leftovers up and had lunch the next day.Good service, great food and easy on the wallet, will definitely return!
