Trucker's Special Breakfast. We go here occassionally for the Trucker's Special 2 eggs, toast, sausage or bacon and homemade hashbrowns for $3.85.<br/ <br/ Family run, great value.
This place reminds me of Bons off Broadway. It's a bit of a gritty hole-in-the-wall, but you definitely get the best value for your money. If you can handle the Chinese family arguing in their native language behind you, definitely give it a try. It's worth the $10 in your pocket!
As of February 2016, there are new owners! The place is now clean! They still offer the same menu of classic diner foods, and the Truckers Breakfast remains at its affordable price. The Freightliner is still there, but the duct tape on the seats has been removed. It's my favorite breakfast spot—The Big 6 is back!
Fantastic little restaurant under new management! I had visited before and left feeling quite let down, but I decided to give it another try recently. It's a delightful family-run establishment offering excellent food at reasonable prices, all made in a comforting home-cooked style. The coffee is great, and the service is outstanding. The place has been spruced up, and the renovations truly made a difference! The interior is now modern and very charming, quite a change from the duct-taped seats I remember.
GREASED LIGHTNING. Here's where I go for cheaper than cheap greasy spoon Trucker's Breakfast when I'm in a hurry but I don't feel like choking down any McDonald's garbage. The quality of the food isn't exactly anything to rave about but it comes lightning quick it does the trick. They open quite early too which is convenient for me.
