I ordered the Low Calorie Signature Box, which featured a salad base topped with flavorful coconut curry tofu, super seeds, and peanuts, all drizzled with a tangy tamarind sauce. I love firm tofu for its great texture, and since this dish was under 500 calories, it quickly became my favorite. The Passionfruit Lychee Soda was a bit mild, mostly tasting like lychee with hardly any passionfruit flavor. I’d recommend going for the Thai Iced Tea instead, which had a strong, enjoyable tea flavor. The Pad Thai with shrimp offered good flavor and generous portions, with crushed peanuts on top that I really liked. A tip: it’s best eaten fresh, as the noodles tend to clump together once they cool down.
Located on the ground floor by the entrance to the underground parking, Basil Box serves Thai stir-fry-style fast food. The service is excellent, and the dishes are nicely presented, but the food itself is fairly average. While the flavors are satisfactory, there’s nothing particularly memorable. The drinks are acceptable, though not exceptional. The interior is clean and well-kept.
I visited Basil Box for the first time and absolutely loved it! I ordered three takeout boxes—two build-your-own and one Tofu Pad Thai. The flavors were fantastic, and the portion sizes felt generous for the price. My only wish is that they had more sauce and vegetable options, especially some milder sauces for those who can’t eat peanuts, as tamarind is currently the only alternative. Hopefully, their menu will expand soon! The proteins were delicious, and everything came together perfectly. We also tried their refresher sodas, which were light, fruity, and ideal for a hot summer day. The restaurant was quiet, and the staff were patient and helpful with our questions about the menu and ingredients. I will definitely be coming back!
Pretty good! I went in with high expectations because I really love Thai food, overall would totally try again, 3 stars because I would have loved a bit more sauce in the noodles or a bigger stuff to noodle ratio but overall it was decent. Chicken wasreally tasty just not as much as i would have liked, only a couple pieces. Cute place inside. Would love to try again and dinein with something else off the menu to try Edit : changed to 1 star because I went back, tried something else and exact sameissues. Also found it weird the owner comments excuses on everyone's reviews to make excuses for the sub par food. Needs morestuff in the pad Thai and more sauce cause it was 90% plain rice noodles with no sauce or flavor. So disappointed because Ireally like the location vibe of the restaurant.
2 stars for the clean restaurant and friendly staff. Unfortunately the food tasted more like a reheated frozen dinner than a freshly made dish. I had the pad thai with chicken and it really did taste like an instant pad thai that I used to make. Wishthe food had better flavor. I won't return but did appreciate a warm meal on a cold and rainy day.
