I'm a big believer in the idea that every restaurant does something good and something bad. And if you happen to order a dud, you shouldn't necessarily condemn the whole restaurant.Angie's Malaysian Eatery really exemplifies this. We went tonight and fortunately I had researched online on Yelp and knew to order the K.K. Buttermilk Tiger Prawns. The other stuff my friends ordered were duds. Cheap duds at around $8.95,... What Jaquelin Daniel doesn't like about Angie's:
Tried this place for the first time and ordered about eight dishes. Their roti is very crispy and taste wonderful without the oily residue unlike other restaurant. The curry fishball is good as well to start with as appetizers. We went to order the seria golomee and it wasn't bad with what it came with. Wishing the noodle was a bit more soft like the authentic ones. The sambal veggie was really good I say one of the... View all feedback.
I am always on the lookout for a good Malaysian restaurant, so my friends and I decided to check out Angie's. We ordered the roti, hainan chicken rice, and laksa. The chicken rice was fantastic - the chicken was tender and the rice was perfectly cooked. The laksa had a lighter broth compared to other places, which we really enjoyed as it didn't feel too heavy. We would definitely recommend Angie's and will be returning in the future!
My friend Ben and I were in the New Westminster area running errands when he suggested trying out Angie's Malaysian Eatery for lunch, since I had never been there before. The restaurant is conveniently located a short walk away from the Edmonds Community Center, with high-rise buildings across the street. It seems like a promising location, especially once all the buildings are occupied.
My best friend recently recommended that we have dinner at Angie's Malaysian Eatery. She had been there for lunch before but had never been for dinner. It's often difficult to find good Malaysian food in Vancouver, so I was eager to try a new place. Angie's Malaysian Eatery is a family-owned restaurant located in Burnaby. The space is cozy with fewer than 10 tables. They have photos of all their dishes displayed, making it easy for customers to decide what to order.
Small menu and portion is also on the smaller side. The Mee Goreng is not available at lunch. I tried both the laksa and Hainan chicken with rice. Chicken was served at the right temperature and very tender. The laksa was flavourful but not too rich. However, the curry chicken with rice was quite dry according to my coworker.
Discovered a yummy Malaysian restaurant in Burnaby! Food was delicious. <br/ <br/ The Roti couldn't have been any more perfect. It came out freshly made. So fresh that it was too hot to rip it into a smaller piece. And also not overly flaky like a lot of other places. Curry dipping sauce was flavorful and went very well with the roti. <br/ <br/ Really enjoyed the Hainanese Chicken. It was tasty and juicy. Generous portion of chicken for the price $9)!<br/ <br/ My favourite was the Curry Laksa. A bit different compared to laksas at other Malaysian restaurants, but this is a good thing. Reminds me of my mom's homemade kaPoon Laotian style laksa) which I love!<br/ <br/ Can't wait to come back!
