We come here few times and we like the food here. They give quite a generous amount here and the price is reasonable. Their coffee is quite strong and maybe it's too strong of a taste for me. The decor in the restaurant is not very appealing but the food tastes good there and it's very authentic Turkish food View all feedback.
What Niloufar Mazaheri doesn't like about Anatolia's Gate:
The ingredients were fresh (that's why I gave it 2 stars), but it just didn't taste like Turkish food at all. I've had Turkish food so many times in Turkey , and this didn't even come close. I've been craving Turkish food for ages, and Vancouver let me down once again. View all feedback.
The food wasn't that turkish taste, and service was ok,no turkish rice its more like a sushi boiled rice. we ordered mix meat platter, chicken iskender, hummus; hummus had no flavor! and platters were nothing close to turkish taste at all plus no vibe of turkish restaurant. If anyone wants to taste authentic food especially turkish rice then this is not the place. Additionally, quantity of meat platter was very less mostly filled with salads. I do not recommend this.
Anatolia's has the best pide in town, it's a pie with meat and eggs. Their red meats skewers are well seasoned and delicious. The fresh lavash is quite a treat, it's a huge bread served with garlic sauceWe went for an early lunch and service was great.
Walk by this place all the time. Was really great. I'd come just for the bread tbh, was delicious. Will be back for takeout for sure, I need to try the lamb!
Had the lamb donair. Delicious but could have had more meat. Pizza crust a bit floppy so could be cooked more. Turkish tea
When I lived in Burnaby/New West my husband and I would come here all of the time. Now we live in Chilliwack but will drive all the way there just to eat this food. I love the mixed salad platter. I could be satisfied with just this. But everything else is wonderful too. If you haven't tried Turkish food (or if you have), GO HERE! It is worth it.
