I went to the pie place for the first time tonight. the owner, jamie, took the time to chat with me for likely 15-20 minutes. very nice guy! I bought 5 hearty cakes, and he threw one free. tonight I baked the steak and cheesecake. follow the directions to make an egg wash up, bake and let it sit for 15 minutes before eating. the first bite I took, I literally said “Oh my God!” this is literally the best cake I have e... Perhaps we just got a bad apple cake, because what we received was incredibly dry inside and out. The texture was off and it seemed like it had been sitting out for too long. The taste was also disappointing, with a strange swirling flavor that didn't sit well with us. Even our children didn't want to finish it after trying a bite.
