the sushi here is always as tasty and fresh I love as the salmon tastes, and how the rice sticks together, but is not cold. the workers here are also just the sweetest of all time, they are very friendly and it is a wonderful feeling when they recognize them after a few visits. the prices are quite reasonable and they keep selling at the end of the day. the snacks and drinks have a high mark, but they are not for the... What User doesn't like about Sakura Ichiban Express:
The service at this restaurant is good, as it is run by a friendly family. However, the food quality was disappointing. I ordered a platter with 66 pieces for $60, but the size of the rolls was much smaller than expected. Each piece was closer to 1/3 the size of a normal roll, making it feel more like 30 pieces for $60. In a time when businesses are increasing prices and decreasing portion sizes, this felt deflating... View all feedback.
WOW! I just ordered from Sakura Ichiban Express for the first time today and I am so impressed. The selection, presentation and extras were awesome, but the taste fantastic! The torched salmon is my new favourite! I will definitely be ordering again (and again!)
Really good flavors. I was impressed by the flavors and freshness of the sushi that I purchased. The only thing that kept me from giving a full 5 stars is that half my rolls had *very* stringy/chewy seaweed paper the rest of the sushi seemed very fresh and tasted amazing, but the seaweed lingered in my mouth and I ended up spitting it out for every piece, which did ruin the overall experience. This was my first time here and I hope this was just an exception, I'll be trying it again.
I tried the takoyaki and it was delicious. I returned for the salmon sushi and Japanese cakes, and they were also really good.

I will not be returning to this restaurant as the portion sizes were inadequate and misleading.
Used to be my to go place for Sushi/poke bowl take out. Not sure if this place got a new owner or what. Both quality and quantity are not comparable with before.
