Rose Garden Family Restaurant

We had late breakfast. It was good. Service was very poor. We were the only table for about 10 minutes. Another table arrived. Had to ask and wait for everything. Return? We haven't decided.

Had been to this restaurant a few times when it was under another name. Food was quite good. Good homestyle family fair. Well, don't know what happened, but food was less than average. I had the meatloaf, and it was bland and unflavourful, just a blob of beef. Gravy with it wasn't any better. Sure it was from a can. Mashed potatoes were either from a box, or whipped with so much milk, might as well have been. Didn't eat them, gross. Only thing decent was the vegetables that came with it. The waitress was just not on the ball. All of us at the table had to repeat our food orders several times. And she was late bringing our food. This was our theatre evening, and even tho we went in more than enough time to eat, we still had to hustle out of there. We must have asked for our bill at least 3 times, to no avail. And it wasn't like they were super busy. One of my friends had to leave our table and grab the waitress..geez. Definitely won't be going back anytime soon.

Very good breakfast. This hidden gem is a bit outside of the Burlington Core but is worth going to if you have transportation. Not too noisy and not many kids, mostly older clientele. One of our favourite locations to go for Breakfast.

What an awesome place! Clean, friendly service and great food! A must try in Burlington! Can't wait to go back for the turkey, Brie and cranberry grilled cheese!
