Monfort's is pretty good, I've eaten here a half-dozen times, it's cost effective, you don't pay very much but you always get what I'd say is a fair portion of food for whatever you paid. If you eat here there are definitely some turn offs like parts of the kitchen being disgusting, the old sign above the cooking area being covered with dead bugs, etc.If that is what they leave in sight imagine what is left out of si... What User doesn't like about Montfort:
Ordered two Montfort steaks to go. They now add onion and peppers as a filler and the salad was a quarter of the usual size. One of the main reason ppl go there is for the amazing tzatziki sauce which is now watered down and charged for if you want more than one. To top it all off I got attitude once I didn't tip on take out. Never again unfortunately. View all feedback.

Their drinks are also weak, I normally get a rum and coke and when I get one here It tastes like it is less than an ounce of liquor for 200ML+ of Coke and typically Havana Club which tastes less than great.Gotta stock some Spiced Rums for mixing as they will impress people who mix more than straight ethanol like Havana Club.
I visited with some family and the variety on the menu was lovely. As a vegetarian, there was an entire vegetarian section plus a large variety for other diets as well. The food was so delicious and the staff was lovely.
I have always enjoyed Montfort, but more often go to the one in Ancaster or at Centre Mall foodcourt. On Friday night, my husband and I went for dinner at the Brant Street Montfort in Burlington. The food was great! I really enjoyed the Montfort soup, although it could have stood to be a little hotter. It is good when you squeeze the lemon into the soup. The pita and garlic sauce was tasty too. I was glad that the waiter just brought a squeeze bottle of the white garlic sauce to the table, rather than the little containers of garlic sauce you usually get. My husband had the Montfort chicken dinner (without pineapple), with the sides being the garden salad and homefries. The home fries are yummy and crispy, and I was enjoyed stealing some from him, until he told me that they are actually deep fried to crisp them up like that. I thought they were done in the frying pan! I don't like to eat deep fried foods for health reasons, so that I didn't like. The garden salad was fresh and their house dressing is so delicious. The waiter was pleasant and efficient. We will definitely be back.
A good place to go, food is not expensive. Menu is excellent, Food always comes hot and fresh. Late night is also a good time to visit.
I visited the Montfort for lunch on a Monday for the first time. The waiter was quick, accurate. I had the goulash soup and a greek salad. It was brought to the table in good time. It was excellent! Soup had a nice thick broth with lots of meat & vegetables. It had the kind of tang that our Hungarian friend creates in her goulash. The waiter stopped by a couple of times to make sure all was right & fill my water glass. I was so impressed! Greek salad was very good. Swore I would come back.On the Wednesday following (two days later) I was in the area again. Thought I would lunch here once again. I ordered the same items from the waitress. It was dropped off at the table as she whisked by to some other corner of the room. That was the last I saw of her for service until I got up from the table & she presented the bill. The goulash soup broth was thin and watery this time - containing one small cube of meat, three small pieces of broccoli , two of cauliflower. and what might have been either a small green bean or a slice of green pepper - not sure. The flavour was a hint of what it was Monday - maybe because of the much thinner broth? The greek salad was still excellent. Now, the place was busy - hectic even on the Wednesday. Maybe this is a Monday best place to dine?
