We went to the Food Truck festival at Spencer Smith Park and due to long lines and high prices, left hungry. We decided to go to Maracaz and as usual we weren't disappointed! The vibe, service, food and drinks are all outstanding! Wonderful authentic Mexican food, margaritas, daiquiris and Piña Coladas! The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Burlingtons best kept secret! What User doesn't like about Maracaz Cantinerie:
My boyfriend and I went out for date night to the new(ish) taco joint near our apt. Tacos were over priced for what you get. Drinks were way over priced. Margaritas came in a tiny plastic cup. The veggie options were scarce. I got one with cauliflower and it was literally spiced dry cauliflower in a taco. No sauce at all and there is just a giant pillar or different hot sauces. My boy friend got some meat ones which... View all feedback.

We went on a Thursday night - live music, good food, outstanding service (one highly talented server covered the entire joint which was packed and she did so effectively!)Decor is so fun and quirky it's like a little get away to go. I would highly recommend for cheap eats, fun decor and great entertainment
Maracaz is in my opinion an average restaurant, it doesn't have anything that stands out to me as being delicious and for the sizes of the tacos the price they ask seems somewhat steep. They literally have what looks like a teaspoon of meat on the Mac Grande and the Taco Bell. The pork belly taco was basically just a really fatty pork belly that tasted very little of smoke or salt and overall the tacos were much worse than what I can produce out of my own kitchen with very little mexican experience but almost a decade of professional cooking experience. The actual tortilla that the tacos are made out of tastes like the ones you buy down at No Frills for $2 for 40, they taste like garbage because they aren't being fried or baked before being used so they only taste like unprocessed corn. The nachos for $8 are the best value, I could see myself eating this and having a few beers while watching a game because the decor and service is above average for Burlington. I wouldn't recommend this if you want true mexican food with bold flavors, for that I would imagine Burro does it better but for cheap nachos and decent decor I would recommend this place.

My boy friend got some meat ones which he said were okay but hardly appetizing. They have some board games, but none were really worth playing. We spent $60 on 4 tacos and 2 tiny margaritas... plus 2 rounds of Connect Four. Curdz downstairs is awesome. Such a difference in the food. I recommend the poutine, but definitely not the tacos.
