Ikki Sushi - Burlington

Ordered take out from Ikki Sushi and was impressed by how quickly they prepared our order and how delicious the food was. Thank you for a great take out lunch! Ordered Combos 805, 806, 807 and 808...which included Miso soup and spring rolls.

My family and I are excited that they?re back and running again. The service was nice; they were attentive and always polite. The sushi was really good as was the sashimi. The side dishes were really good as well but only for our first round. After the first round of orders the side dishes were inconsistent, some were really good while others were bland and somewhat lacking in flavour. Overall it was good but I would have loved more consistency with non sushi items.

Very disappointing AYCE. Really enjoyed the general tao on an impromptu lunch visit, so I thought I would try AYCE for someone's birthday. For $40 per person it must be pretty good? Very poor fish arrived on our reels. Sushi/Sashimi never arrived. Hand rolls filled with so much smooth dry sticky rice they were hard to swallow. Nothing resembled the beautiful pictures on the menu. It was a Sunday, but that's not an excuse. I could go on, but I won?

We had heard about this place and decided to try a payout and ordered online for a certain pickup period. When they went to pick up, they did not have the food ready and actually asked if we had ordered online and had to watch the order. We had to wait for them to prepare food (20 minutes). We admit that they have a small discount on the cost of food because we had to wait. When we got home, it was of reasonable quality, but not the best. There was too much sticky rice to order the sushi and the so-called fresh sushi tasted a little. We had better sushi at other local restaurants. We could try these guys again, but their prices are a bit too high and if they are as disorganized as this first time we will never come again.

Takeout presentation was nice and food was prepped and available fast but there are a lot better low/mid quality sushi options available in Burlington. This rice was over seasoned, over cooked and pressed too hard it both looked and tasted like maki you might buy from a fridge at a grocery store. Salmon and tuna both had a really fishy flavor that made me a little uneasy considering it?s raw. I?ve had much better experiences with Imi sushi, August 8 and sushi Asano, and even the mall foodcourt for takeout!!
