Editing review for 2024 as services have improved moderately since original posting during pandemic. Still hard to order from, expensive, etc., but also a good restaurant in some regards. Previous review: Take out: late, slow, hard to order, quality and quantity often different than dine in orders. Covid response grade: Fail. Their website makes the claim that they are doing everything we can to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Our staff follow proper disinfecting guidelines. This is not true. Their cooks do not wear masks and touch their faces and then don 't wash their hands. I make this general statement as their kitchen has a large brightly-lit street-facing window where a person waiting for take out can easily watch the non-use of proper disinfecting guidelines . I have seen this occur on several occasions. Service Grade: C-. I 've probably eaten here 50+ times over 15+ years and the service here is not great (I am guilty of choosing to eat here but...still). I 've experienced much worse (and better) service elsewhere, but they could improve a lot in this department. The service quality also dramatically impacts the dining and take out experience. Read through other reviews and see for yourself. Reviewers consistently point out that 1) take out is hit or miss and often a nightmare, 2) dine in is below average even when empty with overall lousy waitstaff, 3) when crowded, waitstaff is often ruder than most other restaurants in the area, very very inattentive, and just not great. Idea to management: your prices are very high but the patronage seems to not mind too much. Why not raise prices higher so you can actually afford decent waitstaff? Food Grade: B+ to C- depending on your order. If you look through the reviews here, as I have done, many folks agree the food is decent but overpriced for American Chinese Food, but not great for Chinese food. There aren 't many options in the area, so all in all, it 's better than some other similar restaurants. I write this review with the hope this place improves. Peace.

I grew up in the Seattle area in Washington, and have quite a varied palette and have dined extensively in the numerous Asian restaurants in that city. In Vermont, the dining scene is quite a bit different so I've learned to lower my expectations a bit, but I was seriously surprised by how underwhelmed I was here, especially for the price. I have rarely had a bill so large, with such a disappointing meal. We received the tasting menu, which we've heard a lot of good things about, but honestly everything was a bit bland and underwhelming (Everything came out quickly and the servers were wonderful). On the dishes, everything had something missing in flavor it was all very one dimensional. For the price I was expecting delicate, tender delicious meat and vegetables in sauces that blew my mind, but instead I was just reminded of how good the Asian restaurants are in the Seattle area, and at less than 1/2 the price. For this meal, The sweetness of the carrots were overwhelmed by the sesame seed sauce, not complemented, the cilantro on top, was a tiny garnish, but should have been mixed throughout as the cilantro did complement and made the whole dish come together, but there was so little cilantro, many of my party couldn't experience a bite with all the flavors. The wrap, was very awkward to eat, as it was just folded over long ways, on itself but not like a spring roll, so the items would fall out on the ends, and it kind of just tasted like shrimp in a siracha cocktails sauce, I could have made that at home? Even the plain white rice which I usually love and get extra of at Asian restaurants, was bland, there just wasn't much fragrance or flavor (I didn't get the hint of jasmine fragrance) and it wasn't sticky, so I'm not sure what kind of rice or cooking method was used? The hot dishes, some were pretty good, but still seemed to miss some depth of flavor, either it was lacking in sweet, sour, salty, or just not enough umami. For the price I was expecting quite an amazing experience but just got something so so and the food didn't transport me in any way.

I 've lived in China for a long time, so I 've had my fair share of delicious and authentic Chinese food. The food we received was ok, definitely did not blow our minds. However, the price was quite mind blowing. $36 for a plate of stir fry, mostly veggies. $12 for a plate of sliced cucumbers (supposedly Sichuan style, but I don 't think it was prepared with Black vinegar and chili oil, like the real dish). And a plate of regular canned peanuts as a free appetizer , the same kind you get at any cheap dive bar.
