I wanted to come here for a while, and it happened today. Pizzeria Ida has a great open concept where you can see the food prepared. The care that goes into every cake is clear. I have the classic round cake. This thing was HUGE and the taste was great, not excessively cheesy or saucy, but what really stood out was the crust crunchy on the outside fluffy on the inside. The vibe inside is also super cool, with tables... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pizzeria Ida:
Steer clear if you’re offended by obnoxiously loud and endless Grateful Dead guitar solos with subwoofer bass and incredibly overpriced pizza. We got there before the crowds made it in yet saw multiple people who came after us being served before us despite having only ordered a simple plain. The wait time was almost exactly one hour… This is far more Grateful Dead than I ever want to hear in one lifetime. Pizza was... View all feedback.
Wow! This place is different from anyone else. The best pizza we've ever had. I had more pizza in my life than I probably would have, this place takes the number one point. My wife, my daughter and I decided to come here at Burlington on our trip to all 50 states. We were initially presented with a packed house, loud but funny crowd and a menu that was almost sold out. We were left with only two options on the menu and either the choice was the most expensive pizza I had since Beverly Hills. While we decided unsafely to shoot it. We had a table in front and saw the team preparing meals as if it were the last day on Earth. This crew worked so hard that it was refreshing and inspiring to see all of them to deliver a crafts product to their males. When the pizza arrived, we knew it would be something special, you could taste love right away. The fresh ingredients, the high-quality cheese and absolutely perfect crust - my God. If you want the right deal and pay for it... Pizzeria Ida is the place for you. After we ate, I suspected it was the owner (he ran the team like a quarterback in the Super Bowl) came to our table to see how everything was, I was short for words when I said. “This was a serious, crazy pizza” he smiled and said thank you and greeted us to stay longer when we liked and then went back to the kitchen to continue to push commands. What a special place.
The best pizza in town. The best ingredients and incredible food. I always do a point to bring friends to visit the city, and I go about once a week to get lunch sandwiches. Can't do enough about the Italian Huagies rave. The owners are interesting people to chat also.
Mind-blowing pizza. Trust me, you need to get to Pizzeria Ida as soon as you can. The crust was pure perfection, both the ingredients, the bake, the flavor, the texture, just amazing. A testament to how it's possible to elevate good ingredients to incredible heights with skill and dedication.
Does this place bring the divisive South Jersey/Philly attitude? Yes. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Emphatically, YES. As long as you understand that what they care about most is the quality of their food and ingredients and you abide my their (admittedly many) rules, you're gonna be fine and you're gonna have some of the best food in your life. The decisions they make are mostly for the good of the quality and enjoyment of all the restaurant patrons, not just you. The flounce is real. Just chill out and enjoy the flounce.
Good variety of pies in ingredients, flavor, and presentation. Towards the end of the day they stopped serving non-pizza menu items.
