One of my must-visit when down in Burlington. It's a great spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Get their steak and egg sandwich and the homemade biscuit ! It's very popular and there's not a lot of seating during rush hour so you'll have to be patient. View all feedback.
What Nathalie Hi doesn't like about August First:
Food is overpriced and small portions. Looks like they make bread in house, that's a plus. Dining area was dirty. They call out names for orders but they are hard to hear. They should use the microphone. They have books but it is a screen free place (no laptops). View all feedback.
I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at this restaurant. The chocolate almond croissant was delicious!
The almond croissant was incredible. I also appreciated the oat milk.
I eat here every time I visit Burlington— the food is AMAZING and the vibes are great! When I went today, I accidentally dropped a coffee I had gotten earlier in the morning and they made me a new one on the house. It was so genuinely kind— this place is great!
Really cute place. Food was great and tasty but maybe a bit expensive for the “Day maker”. Atmosphere was great, good music and lot of space. I recommend!
My maple latte was so good and the maple biscuit was pretty good. I didn’t really taste the maple and was a bit saddened by that. It was a good biscuit just no real maple coming through. The maple butter and jam were delicious just wish they didn’t come in plastic and a more low waste option to serve them was used instead.
