I ate at Marie Anita's several times over a weekend in Burleigh Heads. I thoroughly enjoyed every meal and the apple crumble muffins are amazing. My only negative would be that the meal times were a little slow but this would not stop me returning. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Marie Anitas:
We went to this cafe for lunch, had to wait 40 minutes for a tiny burger and burrito, never got the cold coffee we ordered. The burger turned out to be a basic sandwich between toasts and the burrito only had salad, avocado with uncooked rice. Worst burrito ever !!!! Waitress offered us the option of juice or wait another 20 min so they can make cold coffee for us after they buy some ice. She also mentioned that its b... View all feedback.
This restaurant used to be one of my favorites, but the service has always been terrible. However, today the service was surprisingly respectful. It has always seemed like the staff didn't really care about the customers, which is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that claims to be gluten-free friendly. The atmosphere is dark and the tables are often dirty. The back garden area is no different. Unfortunately, my favorite dish was no longer on the menu, and the service was incredibly slow and careless. I will not be returning. It's true that you vote with your dollar, but also with your word of mouth. I suggest finding a restaurant where they actually care about their customers and the service they provide. Today's experience was truly disappointing, and I hope the staff and chef will take customer service more seriously in the future.
This hidden gem in the bustling city is a true delight. As I entered, I felt immediately welcomed by the soulful tunes of New Orleans French music, friendly staff, and a menu that caters to both body and spirit. Everything about this place feels intentional and meaningful, making it a special dining experience.
I ordered a latte expecting to enjoy it in a glass cup, but was surprised when it was served in a cardboard take-out cup instead. Paying $13 for two coffees served in cardboard cups was disappointing.
Sevice was shocking, girl behind the counter couldnt be bothered making our two coffees she just wanted to talk **** to another worker. Pastry was dry and total bill was over $20 for 2 coffees and a sweet potato pastry that wouldnt feed a toddler....You wont see me again.
I read mixed reviews about this place, but my husband and I tried it this past weekend and we really loved it. We got the breakfast wrap and the pancakes and both were delicious and huge portions. I would definitely come back here and...love that everything is vegan!
