From the moment you walk in the door you are transported to another place. The selection of food is excellent and the staff are more than happy to make the meal just how you ask. Would recommend for a taste sensation View all feedback.

I came in here with low expectations, but left elated. The standout was the sate chicken. It's been a while since I had sate chicken that was so well cooked that the chicken almost melted off the stick, let alone the spicy peanut sauce which is deceptively difficult to get right. The Bintang beer that I washed it down with was the right thing to remind me of the beachside shacks in Bali.We also tried the Beef Rendang which was in a beautifully rich and complex curry.I will definitely go here again if only to try their roast pig!
The food here is very good and authentically Indonesian - with a Javanese influence. Be prepared to wait a bit especially if the restaurant is busy. The soto ayam chcken soup is great - and if I am ever feeling a little 'under the weather' this is a great fortifier. The beef rendang and curry ayam (chicken) are very good and their pungent 'belado' preparations nice and authentic (terong / telor). I also enjoy the lemongrass battered chicken and the otak otak fish cakes. The restaurant is very big and can seat dozens but it is generally fairly quiet during the week. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
This restaurant is centrally located at Burleigh Heads. Although the name of the restaurant is Kuta Beach (on the island of Bali), majority of the menu items are from the island of java. Overall it is a nice indonesian restaurant. I do recommend it.
