Great food. Fast service. Free chips and salsa. Excellent guacamole. Good margaritas. Many menu options including combo plates and a la carte options are ideal for trying new dishes or parts. Our favorite menu item is the beef Chimichanga, but we look forward to finding other items.

A little taste of Mexico right in south central Kentucky! The new restaurant is really great, definitely an upgrade! The food as always is amazing and the staff is friendly. Love El Rey!

Wonderful gem of a restaurant in Burkesville. Clean restaurant with very good Americanized Mexican food . There is a HUGE menu with plenty of combos and specials . Great Guac. Free homemade chips that are not too greasy or salty that come with a tasty mild salsa. My family loved viewing the large saltwater fish tank that was spotlessly clean and meticulously planned out with an assortment of colorful fish, sea anonemes, and coral. Back to the food, my MIL ordered a shrimp dish and kept raving that the shrimp were plentiful and a good size. “They don’t skimp on the shrimp!” My 3-year old loved his burrito with rice and beans off of the kids menu. Prices are definitely reasonable! We did not get alcohol but there was alcohol available. Definitely a great dinner pick if you are in or around Burkesville!

We were eager to dine here during our visit with friends in the area. The restaurant was bustling (it was a Friday night), but we were seated quickly, and our food arrived just 10 minutes after we placed our order. The staff was friendly, and the food was excellent. You won't be disappointed!

The service here is friendly and attentive, with the staff dedicated to ensuring you have a wonderful dining experience. I always enjoy the food at this restaurant. The atmosphere features typical Mexican decor and a lovely bar area. The food quality is above average compared to other casual Mexican restaurants.
