I ordered butter chicken and naan. The food was tasty and the spices were just right. However, I found the price a little steep for the portion size. The chicken was boneless, with some pieces tender and others a bit tough. The portion size was decent, but it didn't last long. View all feedback.
What Gabriel Campbell doesn't like about Royal Everest:
This restaurant is advertised as Nepali, but they do not offer traditional Nepali dishes like momos. Instead, they serve dishes like butter chicken, samosas, and biryani, making it more like a typical Indian restaurant with minimal effort put into authenticity. View all feedback.
Absolutely delicious food and very kind service. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Vindaloo, Vegetable Samosa, Curries, Aloo Gobi Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free street parking
The lamb samosas were AHMAYZING not too gamey, lots of flavor. Their mint chutney and tamarind sauce are a must with the samosas! Our butter chicken and paneer spinach dish (palak masala saag) was super flavorful and right on point. The paneer naan could use a tad more salt to bring out the paneer flavor, but very enjoyable all the same. The mango lassi was perfect. I hardly ever comment on the interior of places, but the bright orange interior leaves something to be desired; at least the lighting is mood lighting so the orange isn't tooo bad but I'd personally go with a sage green for that place. Vegetarian options: Entire section for the vegetarians Parking: If there isn't a yoga class going on across the street, there's plenty of parking along the street leading up to it Kid-friendliness: I saw kids, dunno of they have coloring menus or not
We were really pleased with our first experience at this restaurant as a party of two! We happened to be in the area and were in the mood for this type of cuisine, so we decided to give it a try after finding it on Yelp. The Tikka Masala chicken and Jalfrezi fish were both delicious, and the Garlic Naan was a perfect accompaniment. Our server, Mohammad, was friendly and attentive, even bringing us more White Basmati Rice when we needed it as the original serving size was a bit small for two people. We are considering trying the Non-Vegetarian Dinner for Two next time as there will definitely be a next time. Despite the busy dinner scene on the bustling Burien street, we had no trouble finding nearby parking. We are looking forward to coming back to Burien to explore more of the interesting eateries in the area.
I got takeout using DoorDash. The vegetable samosas were delicious, the shahi korma was flavorful and rich, the vindaloo was just as good, and the naan was warm and delicious. It was all so tasty! The only downside was that they forgot to include silverware, but luckily we were able to get some from our hotel.
