We've come to have a snack, a wine and a cider. To bite we have ordered a hedgehog, which has validated the fridge of 5.50€ I think the prices are not tied to the reality. View all feedback.
Amazing experience from the moment we walked in. Super friendly staff who were very accommodating with our amateur Spanish, but at least we try! The good was the best we have had during our trip to Spain and very good value. We would come back to Bergos just to eat here! For a Sunday evening the atmosphere was superb and full of locals as the evening went on. To marks to the staff and chef!
This is a typical bar de tapas with Good wines variaty options and very nice tapas at good prices.
If you are travelling about this part of Northern Spain, more often than not restaurants tend to ply you with very, very, very good meat cooked solely on oak fired grills. But let 's face it the body can only take so much super delicious and grand portions of cooked to perfection MEAT. So La Cantina was a really nice surprise. We sort of fell upon it rather than sought it out whilst ambling through the centre of Burgos (a fantastic town), or at least one of its quieter side streets. To cut to the point La Cantina has a Korean chef dishing out seriously (and I mean seriously) good Asian nibbles alongside a very, very fine list of wines by the glass. Had there been more than two of us eating, I would probably have given everything on the short menu a whirl, as the gyozo and maki were pretty stunning. I 'd hoof the full 5 stars but the Pad Thai just lacked that killer ooomph, despite the fact that the beef and vegetables were cooked pretty much spot on. Service is terrific the owner/maitre 'd is extremely charming, no fuss and rightly proud of this gem. Save your heavy hit of meat until 10pm. Definitely head to La Cantina for a cracking lunch and get there early for one of the few tables outside.
Que lujo de sitio,aún estando a tope,nos han atendido de maravilla.Camareras atentas y eficientes,un jefe de cocina dominando el cotarro y dirigiendo el servicio con diligencia! Croquetas de queso de morirte y unos callos con huevo frito de chuparte los dedos !! Muy bien !!!
La comida sin más, un poco cara a mi parecer. Me pedí el cerdo con alcachofas (19eu, porción pequeña . El cerdo me dio mucha cosa por que tenía exceso de pelos (se qué hay gente a la que no le molesta pero a mi sí . La atención, pues… te atienden sin muchas ganas la verdad.
