After passing the ba... read more 1 star, and that’s a stretch. I decided to give George’s a try after so many recommendations. Needless to say I was disappointed extremely. After passing the bartender (who was on her phone talking) she stated I would have to wait awhile. I wasn’t in a rush, and for all I knew it may have been an emergency phone call. After her return, I attempted to order a drink. Mind you, I had just lost my license and only had my prior old license that had expired only a few months earlier. Now you must understand, I was 35 at the time and looked well over 21. Receding hair line, full on beard, etc. After asking for a drink, she stated she needed ID to verify my age. I proceeded to give her my old license and it processed saying my age of 35. She denied the ID, seeing as it was expired. I explained to her that the only thing she needed to do was verify my age being over 21, which she had done. And soon after she had mentioned to me that technically I wasn’t allowed on their property because they were unable to confirm my age. I understand they have rules to prevent underage drinking but when someone can show you photo ID with a birthdate that worked in her machine, and also show 2 other forms of ID with my birthdate and picture and still not serve me? That’s a little ridiculous in my eyes. I myself will never return to George’s due to this bartenders attitude the whole time trying to work the situation out which caused me to miss my family members 21st Birthday celebration.
