What Chantel Page doesn't like about Bison Falls Spur Steak Ranch:
I cant believe what I saw this morning. There was no servive. No one to seat us and no one brought us a menu. We sat there for more than 15min. And it was not busy at all. That is not nice cause normaly the waitron are very quick to seat you and take your order. View all feedback.
**Meal Type:** Brunch **Price per Person:** R 500+ **Food:** 4/5 **Service:** 3/5 **Atmosphere:** 3/5 **Recommended Dishes:** Buffalo Wings, Ribs I recently enjoyed a brunch at this restaurant, and overall, it was a good experience. The food was quite impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars, especially the Buffalo Wings and Ribs, which I highly recommend. The service was decent but could use some improvement, so I would rate it a 3 out of 5. The atmosphere also had its moments but felt a bit lacking, making it a 3 out of 5 as well. While there are areas for enhancement, the meal itself was satisfying and definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for good food.
I couldn't believe what I experienced this morning. There was no service at all. No one to greet us or seat us, and we weren't given a menu. We waited there for over 15 minutes, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. This was quite disappointing because typically, the waitstaff is very prompt in seating customers and taking their orders.
I dined in for dinner and found that the overall experience was quite average. The price per person was around R 250–300, which I felt was reasonable for the meal. However, the food only rated a solid 3 out of 5; it was decent but not exceptional. Similarly, the service was also a 3—adequate but lacking in attentiveness. The atmosphere, while generally pleasant, also scored a 3. It had a comfortable vibe, but nothing particularly stood out. Overall, it was an acceptable dinner, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
Now, onto the food. After just one bite, I was overwhelmed with emotion; it was that good! The flavor was exceptional—absolutely delicious. You can really sense that the dishes are made with passion and love. The chefs have big hearts, and it shows in the quality of their cooking. As for the service, I have no complaints. The staff is incredibly welcoming, energetic, and wonderful. They checked in on me several times to make sure I was doing okay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to tip them—they truly deserve it! There’s a common misconception that Spur is expensive and only for wealthy people, but I want to clarify that it’s actually quite affordable. Anyone can enjoy a meal there, trust me! **Kid-friendliness:** There’s a play area for kids, which is fantastic. **Parking:** Plenty of free parking available. **Service:** Dine-in. **Meal type:** Lunch. **Price per person:** R 400–450. **Food:** 5 **Service:** 5 **Atmosphere:** 5 **Recommended dishes:** Heineken and Mocktail, Seafood Pasta with Prawns, Buffalo Wings, Select Your Gin, Ribs, Peppermint Crisp Tart, Beef Kebab, 200g Steak with Cheese Sauce, Chips, and Onion Rings.
Here’s a breakdown of my experience: - Service: 3/5 - Atmosphere: 4/5 - Meal type: Dinner - Price per person: R 350–400 - Food: 5/5 Overall, while the food was excellent, the limited menu options impacted the dining experience.
