However, I was disappointed with all but one of the slice... read more Prime Pizza is one of my favorite pizza places in Brooklyn, tied with John’s of Bleecker Street in NY. However, I was disappointed with all but one of the slices I had today. Maybe I just came on an off day because the whole experience felt a bit off, including the guy behind the counter struggling with the credit card machine. We tried a few pepperoni slices, a cheese slice, and a square slice. The square slice was good and that’s why I gave it a 3-star rating. I can understand how, if you’ve only ever had LA-style pizza, you might find this pizza amazing. I was really hoping it would be as good as the Best Pizza in NY, but maybe I was expecting too much. I’ll definitely come back to give it another try and hope round two is better.

I tried a slice of their spicy pepperoni, and the flavor, texture, and presentation were spot on. Their menu includes beer options, although they don’t have stouts. The place is cozy with limited seating, and the parking lot is small, but there’s decent street parking nearby. Definitely a five-star spot. Be sure to check out my profile for more great places!
