Larry's Chili Dog - Burbank

Old school since 1953. If you crave chili dogs skip the DerWeinerCrap and come here instead. I ordered the chili dog combo that comes with fries and a drink costing under 8 bucks. I asked for pickle chips to be added to my chili dog. The food hit the spot and it is way better than the corporate hot dogs from DerWeinerCrap.

My review on Yelp from 8/13/09 (prices have risen some since then): Truly great throwback to the good ole days. An institution for more than 50 years (you can tell by the rust on the great metal neon sign), one of the best chili cheese dogs ever, and at a very reasonable $2.95! The skin not only snaps when you bite off a chunk, but continues snapping as you chew up the piece. Yellow/white grated cheese is put on fresh but melts just slightly from the heat of the dog to a perfect consistency. Just the right amount of chili, so you don't end up with a big mess. You could probably eat their dog with a white coat on and stay neat and clean. Awesome combo of flavors. Skip the fries, rings, etc., and order a 2nd dog.

This place is a classic burbank spot, I absolutly love it! Great service, a warm atmosphere, and good greasy food; what more do you need!
