We came to Christmas and we had a great evening with an old man who settled there every night at the corner of the fire. He had told us his life of the poverty of the Irish to change thanks to expatriates and to Europe. his photo is in the pub near the chimney. He died there a handful of guineas. View all feedback.

We went to Have a quick lunch there during the Halloween event at Bunaratty Castle. Waited for 20mins at table with no one service us. Asked a staff and told will be with us but no sign again. Have to asked again to order food. When we finally got to order, we were told only two things left from menu. In the heart of the folk park. great, tasty food. Lots to do and see. Worth a visit. You wont be disappointed. Great atmosphere
Small, very warm inside no air. Staff ok, I Didn’t like the menu with a very limited choice. And one thing pissed me of badly, the waiter took all the glasses from our table before we even finished with our food, and he took my baby’s bottle of water, it made it look like as he wanted to get rid of us to make place for others . From my perspective if am Paying I deserve to eat in peace without someone rushing me. In addition to this, I wanted to Re order some drinks and was impossible.No one looked at us. I understand when a place is busy but this is an extra small place with 8 tables and enough staff so I can’t understand the long waiting time and that it’s just impossible to order something extra like another drink because the staff is not looking after their guests at all. They just run around like headless chickens.... and to pay the bill hahaha, well I can’t tell you everything ; I will leave you the pleasure to get through this experience by yourself. It’s amazing.....
After a day of strolling around Bunratty Castle, this was a nice spot to have a pint and a bowl of soup. Quaint place with friendly service you won't want to miss.
A must stop for a cold beer and lunch! The boys, especially , like this stop! in the heart of town and close to the playground so the kiddos can play while you enjoy a beer to go!
