What Marie Lisa dislikes about Rustic Roots:
The restaurant did not offer a good selection of food. When we went to order dessert, more than half of the items on the menu were already sold out, so I decided not to order any. View all feedback.

Best filet I have had in a long time. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My son and I dined tonight for his birthday and even tho I didn’t give the restaurant advance notice, they gave him a card signed by everyone and a piece of pie. Deanna was our server, she was so great, kept us in drinks and was so nice to my son. I had a huge prime rib cooked perfectly and my son had a burger. Even tho we were stuffed and couldn’t finish our meal, we weren’t leaving without butter cake and lava cake. We agreed that we might start with dessert next time!
The food was excellent, much better than I expected. Service was definitely 5 star. Very relaxed decor, and I would and have recommended this unexpected gem in a little known location. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Food was amazing! Great service! . Had the prime rib and the steak! Cooked to perfection! Go for the dessert alone! Brown butter cake was out of this world!
This was our first trip here and we found it to be a very good experience. The service was quick and friendly, the food was good, and the daily special drink I had was delicious!
My husband and I really love Rustic Roots! The staff go out of their way to be so friendly and courteous. Russ and Vanessa really put their love into this restaurant and you can see it. We had a date night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had the best food, drinks and dessert. I love how the menu will change with the seasons (don't worry...favorites usually stay).
Amazing place in a great little town. Enjoy a fun custom cocktail at the bar. Service is always amazing.
Delicious! Everything we ordered was delicious. The tacos, from the small plate menu, had me saying Wow! Filled with Ribeye meat, fresh onions, and Creme Fresh on handmade corn tortillas with some kind of tasty red sauce on the side. They were just fantastic. The wedge salad was a half head of crisp lettuce large enough for us to share. I ordered a Blackberry Bramble (with vodka) for an alcoholic beverage, and it was yummy. So much so that I had another, and at $15 each, you know it had to be good to get another. My husband found Red Oak on draft, so that was his choice of beverage. Red Oak is always best on tap in our opinion but hard to find. He also had the 12 ounce Angus Ribeye for dinner. Huge flavor and perfectly cooked, well, at least for me. He likes his steak a bit less red. But he ate the whole thing, so it must have been good. I ordered the Mahi Mahi. Again, all I can say is it was delicious. Moist, flaky, and well seasoned. The risotto and pineapple salsa were fresh and just the right accompaniment to the fish. We ended with the Brown Butter Cake. Fantastic! If you like cinnamon and caramel, you'll love this decadent dessert. We will definitely be going back. Oh, the bill came to around $156, not including tip. So the place is not inexpensive but it was worth it to us.

We went to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious. I had prime rib, my husband had the filet. We shared the juicy bread and the brown butter cake. I had the fall margarita followed by a blueberry margarita. It was all delicious. It was a bit pricey, but I had wanted to try it for a long time. I am glad that I did. It will have to be a special treat for me to go back. I wish it was something that we could afford on a regular basis because it was delicious. Jacqueline was our server, she was awesome.I got a candle in my cake, which was nice, but they must have run out of cards .
Best steak in Raleigh. Super cozy with a friendly staff. Excellent quality of food and cocktails. I just hope one day they will open for lunch on the weekends.
We had a great dinner and experience here last week. The food was delicious. Our server was very sweet and helpful. One thing worth noting, the prices are pretty steep. As much as I’d love to support this small town restaurant more often, it’s just not realistic for a larger family for the price. It’s a great anniversary or special occasion place though!!
Diamond in the RoughBunn, NC has a population of 327. It also has one of the best restaurants in the state. Rustic Roots certainly lives up to its name gravel parking lot, cement floor and bucolic decor. The food yummy. While the selection is somewhat limited, there is something for everyone. We sampled the Spaghetti Bolognese (meaty and nicely seasoned), Nancy's Tacos (made with real rib eye and just enough Mexican flavors), Blackened Mahi Mahi (the special of the evening and it was indeed special) and the Beet and Strawberry Salad (tender baby beets topped with an amazing balsamic glaze). The wine list is minimal, but covers all the bases. The Pinot Noir was food friendly and reasonably priced. Our server was as outstanding as the food personable, engaging, knowledgeable and efficient.Rustic Roots is a little pricey, but, when you consider the quality of the cuisine and the exceptional dining experience, it's well worth the price of admission (and the lengthy drive).
Parking: Complimentary parking is conveniently located just outside the restaurant. Kid-Friendliness: A dedicated kids' menu is available, along with crayons to keep little ones entertained.

I was in this restaurant two times and both experiences were wonderful. The food is great and the butter cake is from this world. How literally did I ask if I could have a whole pan of it?
I can see why this place is usually booked in advance! Absolutely amazing food, the Ribeyes smell so good that they intoxicate! Pasta was also just ridiculously delicious! Top notch service and a comfortable atmosphere. We can absolutely not expect to go back!
My wife wanted to visit this place for a long time. We were finally in the area and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was very nice and open. The bathrooms were sweet and clean. Lighting and ambience gave him a very relaxing feeling. The waiting staff was very good and almost too attentive. The food was so advertised. Your farm to table offers were very good. Hot and fresh. The woman has a nice cocktail and they have a good selection of beer. If you are in Bourbon/Whiskey? they have a wide choice for you. You have a reservation as without it, will you probably only get a bar seat? and these chairs are not super comfortable? especially for those with a plentiful back. We will definitely visit again with a reservation : .
Service was awesome just like we were part of the family. (It's a family owned business) got a history lesson from the owners son. Though we didn't try it this time several others at the bar had the Mac and cheese with BBQ pork and loved it. My wife had the pork special and loved it. I went with the ribeye it was cooked to perfection and delicious. Also desert was very good. Now just need to make plans for the Mac and cheese which will be soon.
