Royal - Bungendore

Fantastic place, great atmosphere, relaxing and the meal was sensational.

We had dinner at the royal hotel last night and I would just love to say how AMAZING the food was, how Perfect the service was and how relaxing and welcoming it felt. It’s now understand new management, 100% recommend to give it another go! We most certainly will be back.

I’m not sure if there has been a change in management or ownership recently, but the atmosphere, service and food tonight was terribly disappointing. There were barely any customers, it was so cold (fire that’s usually lit out back wasn’t), we waited around 15 minutes to be seated and just walked over to a table ourselves as there was only one other group of people there tonight. Despite there being very few customers, we waited around 1 hour for our meals to come out. That too was incredibly disappointing. Potato slop, odd tasting veg and a shrivelled Parma and what seemed to be fried frozen seafood products. We left about 80% of meals on the plates and left. This is a vastly different experience to all our previous visits, where we experienced the complete opposite. Something doesn’t seem right. It’s a real shame because we did enjoy going there for a meal. It use to be full of people, warm atmosphere, good service and great meals served. Not sure what’s gone wrong!

Had a great day at the Royal today with a bunch of mates. Fantastic hospitality. Food was hot beer was cold. We will be back thank you.
