Bundoora Hotel

Bundoora Hotel continues to disappoint. Despite the most boring and bland menu, the chefs just can't get it right. The meals are ver cooked, dry and unappetizing. The kids meals are even worse. Pasta sauce tastes like it's straight out of a jar. The service is non-existant & the decor is uninviting. The place is depressing apart from the occasional good singer/band.

Our party of 7 had the Tuesday night Steak specials. The services was slow, when we questioned delay we were advised food is coming! When it arrived, the food was horrible, steaks overcooked, cold chips. We pointed out the steaks were overdone and the manager could not give a hoot. This was a very disappointing night out for our friend's birthday. We learned the lesson when you seen empty tables - never again, we are off to Coopers restaurant in future. Well done Bundoora Manager!

Large menu with all of the usual a, at least one stir fry, choice of a couple of pastas, steak with choice of three sauces. Salads and vegetarian choices. Didn't notice any vegan or gluten free options. Usually a roast as a special. Wouldn't go there for a special night out but ok when you don't want to cook.

Went here with a group to enjoy a nice meal. Food is ok. Good size and everyone enjoyed their meal. Docket does not apply to specials board but that's ok. Drinks are cheap and service is good. All ok I guess. Nothing startling but it is a pub.

I waited in line for 20 minutes before finally reaching the front, only to be told that the pork belly special was no longer available. I ended up ordering the $25 steak, which took an additional 45 minutes to arrive. The steak was tough and the vegetables were cold, though the potatoes were edible. Despite the lack of service from the staff behind the bar, who seemed indifferent to my wait, I decided to leave before even ordering a drink. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
