The steaks were overcooked and the chips were cold. However, the service was very promising; the staff seemed eager to improve, and with some feedback, I'm sure it will get better than ever! View all feedback.

Big day with my wife and a few friends to celebrate the birthday of a cumpel.
We had our Calligraphy X'mas and of year break up party. Food was exceptional, great sized serves. Friendly staff great service. Great time had by all. Of our ladies that attended, all meal a were delicious and the Sticky Date Pudding was to die for. Apparently the Chef added Marachino cherries and sultanas to the mixture for Christmas.
If you want to have a great culinary experience, the Sugar Reef Bar And Bistro is the place to go. The chef is absolutely amazing. If you want a steak, he will cook it exactly how you like it. It's no hit or miss here. It's always a hit. I usually get the prawn topper with my steak, and the prawns are always cooked to perfection as well. I have also tried the Chicken Kiev. It's out of this world. It's not your usual crumbed chicken with garlic butter, it doesn't have crumbs, but it is stuffed with an amazing array of flavours, cut into thick slices with cheese sauce over the top. I've never had anything like it, but I will certainly be back for more. They have an extensive menu, I'm sure that there is something for everyone. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos, but honestly, you don't need them. If you go and try a meal there you won't be disappointed. Hats off to the chef.
