Discovered once via TripAdvisor it's now part of every trip to south west of Switzerland. I still can't read the menu and google helps a lot, but it's worth a stop by every time. Excellent food and service! View all feedback.
What Milena Portmann doesn't like about Le Fribourgeois:
My first visit in Bulle & first fondue. Staying locally & we thought we'd give it a go. Very pleasant staff in a very traditional setting. Lots to offer on the menu. View all feedback.
The fondu was good, but I don't have much to compare it too (need to experiment more with the Swiss fondu). The people there don't speak English, but the tried hard to help me out, that counts go something!
Absolutely packed by locals and loved by tourists. Typical dishes for this area. NB! Swiss Germans please remember not to ask for Rösti as this is the French-speaking side of the Röstigraben. Röstigraben is a humorous term used to refer to the cultural boundary between German-speaking and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. The food was good but by no means exceptional. The service could be better but the ladies are under a lot of pressure and it appears there are not enough waiters. Yes, I would recommend Le Fribourgeois, simply for it's authenticity and local feel.
