What Marc Kotarski doesn't like about Duende At Silo City:
I have 1 star for service because there is no service. You have go up to the bar to order drinks and your food then pick it up at the kitchen when your pager goes off. There is even a sign to Please bus your own tables. Menu was very limited and on the pricey side for what you get. The sliders were $21. View all feedback.
Cool space, very worth checking out. There was very good live music while we there. Large outdoor area but not dog friendly.

I was very disappointed with this place today. I usually love duende but from start to finish it was bad. It started when we asked if they had coffee and the bartender started trying to explain what a French press was to me. It felt like they were trying to talk me out of getting a coffee with a shot of Jamison in it. I ended up saying that if he did not want to make it he didn’t have to and it was uncomfortable. Then we ordered some nachos and after about 20 mins we went inside to check on it because our buzzer didn’t go off, turns out they were ready but they gave us the wrong buzzer number. We had cold soggy nachos after that. Finally, we tried to close our tab and the bartender was rude and dismissive. We were the last people waiting at the bar and she was visibly and verbally annoyed with us. It’s a shame because I love this place but the service today makes me not want to come back.

Super cool spot back in Silo City off Ohio Street. Be careful, the entrance to go back to the establishment is somewhat hidden off Ohio Street between the First Ward and the Outer Harbor, so look closely or you 'll miss it. After a short drive back, you happen upon Duende, which constitutes two main (detached) buildings and a really nice enclosed lawn with a small stage. We were only there for cocktails their menu is extensive, and their draft beer options are diverse enough. I have heard good things about their food, but have yet to try. Will definitely return a fun, unique, and cozy spot with tons of character (inside and out).
