Sushi Yaki - Buffalo Grove

We decided to grab some sushi rolls for our movie night on a Friday evening. We ordered a selection of five different rolls. The food was ready right on time and was quite affordable compared to other sushi places nearby. When we got home, everything was neatly packed and incredibly tasty. We're definitely excited to return!

I ordered a Godzilla roll, which should have included ebi tempura, salmon, cream cheese, spicy mayo, avocado, wasabi, and eel sauce. Instead, I received what looked like a kind of sashimi—two pieces of sushi stuffed inside a huge chili pepper. I mistakenly thought it was just a green pepper, so you can imagine my reaction when I put that in my mouth. The sushi itself was poorly made. Next time, I'd rather prepare something at home with my own ingredients than waste $50 on this junk.

Honestly, this is some of the best sushi I've ever had. I've been coming here for nearly ten years, and I sincerely hope they'll be around for at least another twenty. The staff is wonderful, the food is consistently excellent, and it comes out quickly. I highly recommend this place. Thank you all for making such fantastic sushi!

First off, we been coming here dining in a private room For Mother's Day for several years. After, the first time we've been here, we know to expect everything to be fabulous. We started off getting the jalapeño poppers, The seaweed salad, Edamame, and soft shell crab and it was amazing. Later we got our miso soup and salad and we got our sushi rolls We got the Sears Tower, The sushi Yaki roll, Bo's special and a lot more. Those are the best sushi I ever had. At the end, we got the banana ice cream and it was very good. No complaints, best restaurants ever.

I have been coming here for some time and I've come to love these guys. The sushi is some of the best in the burbs, and it's BYOB!! Can all the sushi places be BYOB please? Although I'd still go here because the rolls are actually that good. PS. Get Philadelphia and Godzilla rolls.
