Steaks by Luis - Buenos Aires

This experience was incredible. We had a wonderful time in Argentina but Steaks by Luis was the "icing on the cake" for our trip. If you don't eat meat, you may not want to go here, but if you are a meat eater, this place is for you! The staff were great, Luis (the chef) explained all of the courses and did an amazing job preparing the meal. The restaurant is a bit "hidden" as there is no sign, just an address and you have to ring the bell to be let in. Reservations are required. Steaks by Luis will be one of my first stops during my next trip to Argentina. We met people from All over the world, U.K, Brasil, USA and Canada. This made the evening better as everyone was friendly and social. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.

I visited with a friend on her birthday. I loved the concept of having dinner in more of a dinner party setting. The host, Agustin, was great and helped us to settle in and get talking to the other guests (as well as getting everyone to sing happy birthday to my friend). The food and wine were very good, I personally wasn't as keen on the varied meat starter but that may just be a personal preference as I am not keen on offal. I would recommend Steaks by Luis as a fun alternative to the usual dining options.

I live in BA and have been twice! This group know good food and how to host a fabulous evening! The concept follows the typical asado, with perfect wine pairings! The meal is superb, the hosts make you feel like like home! Also a wonderful way to interact with other travelers! A total must do while here! I take every guest

We had a fun evening here with excellent friendly efficient staff . Only 9 of us the night we went ( NZ, Australia, USA & Germany ) which made for some great conversation & friendly banter .Luis& his staff were most informative & it was so interesting getting the background of Argentinian style Asado. The charcuterie was tasty accompanied by at first bubbles then great Argentinian wine especially the Malbec. A nice dessert wine too. The steak was perfectly cooked & melt in your mouth tender - was great being able to order the degree you wanted it cooked to.It was nice being to ask questions re the local food & to be able to take photos of the food cooking oven the open grill.Excellent atmosphere, good value , tasty well cooked food & great company. Recommended

Such a great evening! This is in a loft space so it makes for a cool 5-course tasting experience. You'll share the table with 12-14 other people. You'll start with a charcuterie plate which was excellent. Luis then grills a bunch of different sausages, meats, and your big steak. The sausages were delicious and my steak was the best steak I had while in Argentina!
