Chips from the same plate arrived back cold. Total joke. Avoid.

We were looking for a light, quality/inexpensive lunch after visiting 2 museums (Museo National de Arte - almost next door & Museo de Arte Latinoamericano - 5 m... read more We were looking for a light, quality/inexpensive lunch after visiting 2 museums (Museo National de Arte - almost next door & Museo de Arte Latinoamericano - 5 min walk away). We came upon this pleasant looking cafe with a brightly coloured, shaded, outdoor space. It was also busy with people who looked like locals. They had an English menu too. We had some grilled sandwiches - mine had roasted Mediterranean vegetables with a little cheese to make it tasty without being too greasy. The staff were very pleasant and attentive and we would recommend a visit - it's quite an affluent area; however, unlike some cafes in similar areas around the world, it wasn't expensive, in fact we thought the prices quite reasonable. There's a nice park to stroll around, beautiful historic townhouses etc as well as the museums of course so it was a really pleasant day out without costing too much. Taxis come along the main road there quite regularly too.
