Pedro Telmo - Buenos Aires

Pedro Telmo is on the western side of the S Telmo market. So it could be very crowded. Food, is good and for retreat to enjoy it outside on the Plaza Dorrego.

Seemingly a rundown joint at first glance, attracted by an unknown third division Italian soccer team banner, we went in and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly treatment of the owner. He served excellent empanadas and refreshing cold beer, besides tons of information about the neighborhood. He even took us to a market to show us the way to the antique shops. Well done, Pedro! Will definitely come back!

The pizza was not amazing although it was quite cheap. It was annoying that when we came to the end of the meal, we were informed that the card machine was broken? so we had to boast about our replacement change and finally manage to pay the check. Had better been said before we finished the meal. I think the pizza was also overcooked, it wasn't safe in my top 30. But at the same time, the waiter who served us was really nice and animated, which made the night as a whole fun. Thank you for putting us on the way! And good luck in the future.

They did not have all the ingredients to serve me my choice from their already short menu. Half of the beers didn't. Dirty and broken washroom.

Pedro Telmo is so often employed outside the Mercado de San Telmo. The owners are very friendly and absolutely in football and music. Snacks, meals and drinks are all good and cost-effective. Very recommended. A real "local" piece of Buenos Aires.
