Gnocchi potato fillers with pink sauce, an incredible taste from the first bite to the last, melts in the mouth. the grilled fried fish with green salad was also delicious. you have to wait because the chef/owner prepares your dinner especially for you. the service was perfect and the reasonable price for high quality food. If you don't get the food, I suggest you go to a restaurant that serves pre-prepared food.
I went to the ostara on Saturday night around 9:30. We were the only two clients in the place at least until after 10:30. the place is fine, not looking for an environment. attention is fine, the typical unoccupied and in a bad mood. the food was very bad. The only thing I really enjoyed was the campary drink and the potato pump, both complementary to the house. To start, I asked for the buñuelos: they were dry and tasteless, my wife's empanada was fine but I've eaten better at any place or pizzeria. my main dish were the ravioles: too small and unfilled, pure (the sauce was fine.) my wife ate the fish of the day: it was well cooked, but again soft and with thorns (for the porters to clean fish is a great company, or rather to do things without faults is mission impossible.) the dessert was a great disappointment: we asked the pancake of apple with chewing ice cream. The ice cream had no taste and its consistency was incorrect. In general, a fiasco. avoid this place unless you know that the other places around you are even worse.
When we were on the sabbatical year at newcastle upon tyne, my kids and I used to go out for dinner every Friday night. I decided to keep the tradition during my solo sabbatical year in good airs. So, last night I went to the ostara bistro. As I arrived before 8:30 pm, I had to choose from the lunch menu, which is not very suitable for dinner. I ate homemade sausages with "false chucrut and potato tortilla." sausages were delicious but were 2 of the same type, so the taste was a bit overwhelming. The chucrut wasn't good. The tortilla was fine but very good. I would assemble the plate very differently. the mustard of the saidn and the alioli were near the tortilla, instead of the sausages. I had the special. Pretty disappointing. They told me about some kind of coconut flan with candy sauce. It was just a normal flank with some coconut remains everywhere. the place is clean, simple but cozy. The guy in charge of the service is very nice. I'll give the place a second chance. next time I'll be there after 8:30 pm.
We were tired of the noisy and crowded places, so we stopped in Ostara and it was perfect! great service and good food. Mom and Dad feel.
This stench was impeccable. I had been open only a few days when we had dinner here for lunch on September 29, 2015. It was cozy and very clean. is run by a cute young couple. lunch specials had a very reasonable price and included drinks and a dessert, so it actually cost us much less than other places in San Telmo and other good air places. the food was very Argentine, but with a unique touch. our group of six included three young children and also loved food. If you are visiting in good air, I recommend that you visit the area of San Telmo and eat in the Ostara bistro.
